Who We Are
This website, goosslaw.com, is operated by Gooss Law, LLC, a law firm at 15 S. Main St., P.O. Box 96, Bowman, ND 58623. In this policy, “Gooss Law,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Gooss Law, LLC.
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us through it, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Information you share with us as a client is also protected by our professional duty of confidentiality.
Information You Provide
When you use the contact form on our website, we ask for:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- The area of law your question concerns (optional)
- Your message
When you send the form, your message is emailed to our office, and a copy is stored in our website’s database along with the date and time, the page you sent it from, your IP address, and your browser type. If you call or email us instead, we receive the information you choose to share.
Please do not send confidential information through this website or by email before speaking with us. Contacting us through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information automatically:
- Server logs. Our web server records basic details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. These logs help us keep the website secure and working properly.
- Cookies. Cookies are small files that your browser stores. Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies, as described below.
- Website fonts. Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See Google’s Google Fonts privacy information.
Contact Form Protection: Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect our contact form from spam and automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. It checks that a real person, not a bot, is sending the form, usually without asking you to solve a puzzle.
To do this, Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser details, which Cloudflare uses to detect and block bots. For details, see the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand how visitors use our website: for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, what devices and browsers are used, the general area visitors are in (such as city or region), and how they found our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information and gives us summary reports. These reports do not tell us who you are.
To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To stop Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Ads
We advertise with Google Ads. If you see or click one of our ads, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to measure how our ads perform (for example, whether someone who clicked an ad later contacted us) and, depending on your Google settings, to personalize the ads you see.
You can manage personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies through the Network Advertising Initiative.
Search Engine Tools
We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to see how our website appears in search results. These services give us summary reports, such as the searches that led people to our site and how often our pages were shown and clicked. They do not add cookies or tracking code to our website, and their reports do not identify individual visitors.
Gooss Law has a Facebook page. If you follow, like, comment on, or message our page, we receive the information you share there, and Meta Platforms, Inc. gives us summary statistics about how people interact with our page. Meta’s use of your information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
Our website links to our Facebook page. Following that link takes you to Facebook, where Meta’s terms and policies apply.

We use the information described in this policy to:
- Respond to your inquiry and, when appropriate, schedule a consultation
- Check for conflicts of interest before discussing a matter with you
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website
- Understand how visitors find and use our website, and measure how our advertising performs

Data Retention and Security
We keep the information you send us for as long as we need it to respond to you and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations. Google keeps analytics and advertising data according to its own retention settings.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, and our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Still, no website or email is completely secure, so please use discretion in what you send us online.
